Mark Ahier - Out of the Comfort Zone

  • サマリー

  • This week we feature someone who got into being a stand up to help with his mental health. Without getting too personal we delved into what he got out and continues to get out of it. Mark Ahier is based in Norwich and he’s passionate about talking these things through and I’m grateful to him for that.

He was also kind enough to send me links of the various agencies where people who are suffering similar can get help see below:

If it's an emergency or you need urgent help

    • If you or someone else is in danger, call 999 or go to A&E now

    • If you need urgent help for your mental health, get help from NHS 111 online or call 111

Your mental health is as important as your physical health. You will not be wasting anyone's time.

How to help someone who is struggling with mental health?

Expressing your concern and support. Reminding your friend or family member that help is available and that mental health problems can be treated. Pass on the information above. Asking questions, listening to ideas, and being responsive when the topic of mental health problems come up. Reassuring your friend or family member that you care about them. You don’t have to be their therapist. There are professionals that will help. Just be a friend.
