The Minnesota Twins travel to Sacramento and have little trouble scoring runs with their full lineup back together, taking three of four from the Athletics, who are mired in a deep slump after a strong start. David and Dan discuss the role that dirt played in the series as well as the outspoken manner of Joe Ryan before jumping into the big question: How will the Twins fare without ace pitcher Pablo Lopez? Dan is pretty sure the Twins will fill his spot internally; David generally agrees and is very glad to see that Chris Paddack has been as good as he has this season. With Dan and Andrew in attendance, the Minnesota Twins take the first but then lose the next two games against the Mariners at T-Mobile Park in Seattle. Dan talks with David about the experience of being there for such an exciting series, which from a neutral fan perspective would surely have been an excellent one to watch. They discuss the Twins' three ninth-inning comebacks, as well as the extra-inning flop in Game 2. David wonders where this fired-up version of Carlos Correa was earlier in the year, and Dan wonders what the Twins' plan is for Royce Lewis. The Minnesota Twins drop 2 of 3 to the Tampa Bay Rays at Steinbrenner Field. The Twins lose their first series since May 1st, and the guys discuss the lack of offensive production being the reason why the team dropped this series. Dan wants to know how many jersey changes Pablo Lopez did during his start, and also wants the Twins to add a Designated Hitter for Keirsey Jr. David wants to know if the offense will pickup with the return of Buxton and Wallner from the IL, and how much will it need to pickup if the pitching stays this dominant. Dan is curious if Royce Lewis weren't Royce Lewis and playing the way he currently plays if he would be sent down. The guys finish up by making their picks for the upcoming Mariners series.
