  • American Groove - Broken Telephone
    2024/12/10

Oh man, this bonus episode is something special. We recorded one of our phone calls. Believe it or not, these kind of chaotic conversations, actually inspired American Groove. It’s raw, unfiltered, and full of the weird stuff we usually brainstorm off the record. Think bacon cooking experiments with clothing irons, and ranting about work. Somehow landing on why stoner-friendly candles are a must.

It’s basically the blueprint of our groove, just us. Vibing, laughing, and getting way too deep about random things. If you’ve ever wondered what our brainstorming sounds like. Obviously when no one’s “officially” listening, this is it. Oh, and quick plug please check out: https://www.velvetearthshop.com/

  • American Groove - #88 Multitasking gone Wild
    2024/12/03

We take a wild ride through the quirky corners of life. Starting with stoner cleaning rituals of course. The philosophy of multitasking while high is fascinating. Ever wonder how music like “Because I Got High” defines a generation? We went there. From the zen of stress balls to the art of juggling ridiculous deadlines. We explored how stoned minds can find some comfort.

Then things a got random as fuck. Christmas rubber ducks, and overpriced milkshakes. A passionate debate over Shake Shack versus homemade onion rings; real people problems. Toss in a dash of Target shopping adventures, and a sprinkle of workplace chaos. You've got the perfect blend of absurdity and real-life dilemmas. Finding the balance of I was at work, but then I got high. If you known what I mean, than you know, you know?

  • American Groove - #87 Martian Daydream
    2024/11/26

A journey into the center of our mind. Where absurd fucks... sorry meets random shit. We kicked off reminiscing about the simpler times of Walmart trips. How the world felt less… bankrupt n' more fun. Then, things went into space talk—Mars launches, futuristic daydreams. Whether the 1960s vibe could ever make a comeback, please.

Spoiler: we're optimistic, with a sprinkle of doubt, with a dash of what the fuck.

It’s all about cinnamon-apple cookies, childhood gaming consoles, and squishy dream drops. that sound way more risqué than intended (don’t ask). We even touched on Joe Biden's battery life (spoiler: it’s questionable). Grab a snack, light up, and get lost in the grooves of this comforting insanity. Peace, love, and cinnamon apples, Oh baby!

    2024/11/20

A tangy, crunchy, and wild motherfucking journey to the taco shack. We dove deep into the butthole... I mean world of Tacos. Kicking it off Taco John's potato olé, apple grande (has cheddar cheese on it) is making a come back . To debating on the upscale side of Chinese takeout. Of course what's the tea on Paris Hilton’s epic “Simple Life” food deliveries. Listen and if you're like us, and are into late-night burrito cravings. Looking forward to fall, for the caramel apple fudge like it’s a spiritual experience. We got you.

We ain't done son. The love for munchies turbocharged our quirkiest comfort foods experiences. Why they hold such a special place in our hearts? It can be your hometown Chinese joint. • American Groove - #85 Dijon Pretzel Jives
    2024/11/19

Man, next-level random. mind-fuckers n' amazing flavor combos. We start off vibing about meat sticks and mustard, no Dijon, or spicy brown? Then spiralling into this wild idea about what Jesus would be like in the modern world. Think of, Cheechified robes, Android phones, and definitely driving a beat-up Corolla. Trust us, when we say this most realistic depiction of modern day Jesus. Oh, and did we mention the Louis? Just your friendly pug reminder.

Then we hit warp speed into political conspiracies of course. Voting weirdness into the direction of French silk pie? It's like politics meets dessert, meets existential crisis! All rolled into one cosmic joint ready to be smoked, baby. Jive till you groove, light up, and let the chaos wash over you. Can't stress it, to say you’re gonna want to be here for the vibes. Peace n' nostalgia meets politics, oh yeah!

  • American Groove - #74 Stoned-Strained meditation
    2024/11/12

I found myself exploring the meditative world, by going to a Meet-up. With chairs outnumbering attendees. the scene was set for a session that would be anything but typical; Portuguese in this case. I counted chairs, and waited for the meditation to begin. I was amazed by the tranquility of the setting. Even the dog attending took to meditation, curling up for a cozy nap. Awesome experience that wasn't just about silence or the meditation practice itself. Rather about the unexpected joys and communal quirks. Making it memorable, and so worthwhile you want to do it again.

Diving deeper, we expand into cultural insights. Like the contrast between European land ownership norms. Also, with Native American communal land practices. Being blown away by the culture differences. We spice things up with some tea aboutReese Witherspoon's business savvy. And our personal movie favorites of course. Mixing meditation, and blending in pop culture with a cherry on top. This blend of meditation misadventures and cultural mind fucks offers a unique twist. On finding peace in modern bullshit... I mean media. Showcasing comedy woven through our attempts to connect, reflect and relax. Namastay, shalom, and may peace be with you.
