  • MOVEMENT
    2024/10/24
Even when our actions are tardigrade we can still accomplish the task at hand provided we remain focused upon the purpose of our actions. Example: Aesop's fable of the tortoise and the hare. Sometimes the no matter what I win mindset requires doggedly efforts. • THEY WILL COME FOR YOU
    2024/10/07
They will come for you. They will find you. They will knock on one of your doors. If you let them in and let them talk long enough, they will learn your pain to steal your soul. I know this because it happened to me. This is part of my life story. Don’t allow it to be part of yours. Live In Fear...Die In Silence When I was a younger man Fear knocked upon the door of my heart, dressed in suit and tie like a Saturday morning preacher It preached salvation, a convincing message of paradise restoration, showed up to save my life even though it was Fear’s soul, unknown to me at the time, in need of saving My secret emotional suffering and invisible mental scars caused me to believe every word he told me Caused me to exchange my private jail for his all inclusive prison of self-righteous exhalations Like a lonely leaf raped, Like a lonely leaf raped from a mighty oak tree by an eastern wind I started dancing upon my winds of change I danced...I danced I danced until my voice surrendered its choice to speak I danced until the muscles of my spirit grew weak and numb It was then Fear really began his spiritual and mental manipulations with words of absolute truth, his version of life affirmations It was then Fear clearly said, “My way is the only way you’ll receive your eternal reward.” It was then Fear began creating an ongoing mental redaction of my life story, present, past, future, using the ink of time to blindfold my mind Ink... Fear failed to realize ink eventually fades and that blindfolds fall like a well played hand of cards do to the Aces of time In time, years far from my young adulthood, my voice rediscovered its power of choice to speak words through the freedom of putting pen to paper to... To serve Fear divorce papers from a life I was living while slowly dying inside like a man serving a life sentence for a crime committed by his shadow I severed all ties with Fears religious ideologies fostered in a loss of personal voice and choice I chose to no longer live noise filled silence Fear of living life fully Leads to dying alone An excerpt from the book SPLIT SOULS IN TRANSITION BY ALFRED HARRELL Release year 2023 Produced by Listen Black Media LLC https://www.listenblack.com/ #christianity #church #denominations #jehovahswitnesses #religion #spirituality #theology #spitsoulsintransition

  • IS IT ABOUT BEING GODLY? OR SOMETHING ELSE!-Louisiana’s New Ten Commandment Law
    2024/06/24
The oped article and link associated with it are based upon from the NEW YORK TIMES article Louisiana’s Ten Commandments Law Signals a Broader Christian Agenda Gov. Jeff Landry wants his state to be at the forefront of a national movement to advance legislation with a Christian worldview. Article link:https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/21/us/louisiana-ten-commandments-landry.html In this podcasters opinion, how does the state of Louisiana's new law align with what is attributed to Jesus Christ interpretation of the Mosaic Law code which began with the Ten Commandments? Before we dive into the words of Jesus according to the Gospel of Luke lets ask ourselves does it address ways of improving the lives of all who live in that state with regards food disparities, better employment opportunities, improved public school education and the nutritional needs of it children, address mass incarceration of minorities, it issue with homeless, etc? Basically how does it measure up to “love thy neighbor”! Love thy neighbor. What am I talking about? Lets now review an encounter Jesus Christ had with an individual who possessed the ability and power to make a difference in his community, an individual who at the time was actually obligated, since was of Jewish descent to live out loud the The Ten Commandments. At the end of this episode I’ll revisit the question:lets ask ourselves does address ways of improving the lives of all who live in that state with regards food disparities, better employment opportunities, improved public school education and the nutritional needs of it children, address mass incarceration of minorities, it issue with homeless, etc. Gospel of Luke 10.25-37.NET [25] Now an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus, saying, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” [26] He said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you understand it?” [27] The expert answered, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself.” [28] Jesus said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.” [29] But the expert, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” [30] Jesus replied, “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell into the hands of robbers, who stripped him, beat him up, and went off, leaving him half dead. [31] Now by chance a priest was going down that road, but when he saw the injured man he passed by on the other side. [32] So too a Levite, when he came up to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. [33] But a Samaritan who was traveling came to where the injured man was, and when he saw him, he felt compassion for him. [34] He went up to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them. Then he put him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. [35] The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever else you spend, I will repay you when I come back this way.’ [36] Which of these three do you think became a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers?” [37] The expert in religious law said, “The one who showed mercy to him.” So Jesus said to him, “Go and do the same.” Gospel of Luke 10.25-37.NET #Louisiana #new #tencommandment #law https://linktr.ee/morethanapoet #listen #like #follow #subscribe #comment #live #your #best #life #split #souls #in #transition #AlfredHarrelMorethanaPoet #no #matter #what #happens #I #win consistency #maintains #momentum
