    Samer Roz is a true example of a global citizen. Born in Canada but raised in the UAE, he now lives in Spain as a student of the Dual Degree in Business Administration + Data & Business Analytics at IE University. Outside his academic commitments, Samer has a busy schedule of extracurricular activities as a musician and captain of the basketball team, among other interests. In Samer’s eyes, time is precious and he intends to make good use of every moment.

    Samer Roz es un verdadero ejemplo de ciudadano global. Nacido en Canadá pero criado en los Emiratos Árabes Unidos, ahora vive en España como estudiante del Doble Grado en Administración de Empresas + Datos y Analítica de Negocio en la Universidad IE. Fuera de sus compromisos académicos, Samer tiene una agenda ocupada de actividades extracurriculares como músico y capitán del equipo de baloncesto, entre otros intereses. En los ojos de Samer, el tiempo es precioso y tiene la intención de aprovechar cada momento al máximo.

    For Carlos Loaiza, the magic of design lies in seeing the little details in life that others might ignore. Carlos, or “Charlie” as everybody knows him, is devoted to every aspect of his craft, and came to IE University for a holistic learning experience. He found it in the Bachelor in Design, and is busy expanding his own ideas by taking in those of other students of the program.

    Design is about making an impact on people, he tells us, and he can’t imagine his life without it. It’s part of his identity and helps him understand who he is, despite its changeability. Indeed, Charlie tries to change the way he thinks and works every year.

    Para Carlos Loaiza, la magia del diseño radica en saber ver los pequeños detalles que otras personas ignoran. Carlos, o Charlie, como todo el mundo lo conoce, es un apasionado de este arte y vino a IE University para vivir la experiencia de aprendizaje holística que le ofrecía el Grado en Diseño. Ahora está centrado en desarrollar sus ideas y en aprender de los otros estudiantes del programa.

    El diseño consiste en crear un impacto sobre las personas, afirma Charlie, quien añade que no se imagina su vida sin él. Es un arte que evoluciona continuamente, pero que forma parte de su identidad y lo ayuda a entender quién es, aunque él mismo cambie su forma de pensar y trabajar todos los años.

    Tomás Lucero is a go-getter, influenced by his multicultural upbringing in Argentina and Brazil. Drawn to IE University for its international vibe, he pursued a Dual Degree in Business Administration & International Relations, aligning perfectly with his passion for geopolitics and international trade.

    Now in his final year, Tomás is thriving academically, particularly enjoying courses in strategy and accounting that align with his love for planning and organization. He is deeply engaged in university life as president of the IE Charity Club and the IE Student Sustainability Committee, and also interns at the IE Center for Health & Well-being.

    Tomás Lucero es un gran estudiante, influenciado por su educación multicultural en Argentina y Brasil. Atraído por el ambiente internacional de la Universidad IE, cursó una Doble Titulación en Administración de Empresas y Relaciones Internacionales, alineándose perfectamente con su pasión por la geopolítica y el comercio internacional.

    Ahora, en su último año, Tomás está prosperando académicamente, disfrutando especialmente de los cursos de estrategia y contabilidad que se alinean con su amor por la planificación y la organización. Está profundamente involucrado en la vida universitaria como presidente del Club de Caridad de IE y del Comité de Sostenibilidad Estudiantil de IE, y también realiza prácticas en el Centro de Salud y Bienestar de IE.
