May 14, 2025: Officers responded to a call in the 80 block of N Stephanie St regarding an assault/battery incident at approximately 5:00 PM. Case #25-09134.
May 14, 2025: An undisclosed incident was reported in Henderson at 6:30 AM. Case #25-09131.
May 13, 2025: At approximately 7:50 AM, Henderson Police Department officers responded to an incident at a wash. Details of the incident are not fully available, and the matter remains under investigation.
May 1, 2025: Henderson Police and Fire Departments responded to the 1200 block of Imperia Drive at approximately 9:59 AM regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased 53-year-old female and a 74-year-old male holding a handgun. After approximately 40 minutes of attempted negotiation, the male sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. Henderson Detectives' preliminary investigation indicates the incident was likely a murder-suicide. This is being investigated as the third homicide in Henderson for 2025. Case remains under investigation.
In other law enforcement news, a multi-agency operation led to the arrest of fugitive Damien Madison on May 14, 2025. The FBI Las Vegas Criminal Apprehension Team, which includes members of the Henderson Police Department, apprehended Madison after a multi-state pursuit. Madison and his mother, who was allegedly aiding his escape, were first located driving eastbound on Interstate 15 near Barstow, California. Law enforcement disabled their vehicle after they entered Nevada, and Madison was taken into custody without incident.
No significant crime trends or patterns have been observed this week, though the Henderson Police Department continues to monitor all criminal activity within city limits.
