Joel Stern joins me to discuss one of the most documented and thoroughly scientifically studied Poltergeist cases in history. Now, thanks to Anomalist Books and Joel’s tenacity, after almost 40 years, this story can now be known by the rest of the world thanks to his incredible translation in the recently released book, The Elusive Force.

In the spring of 1983, 13 year old Joasia Gajewski and her family suddenly began to experience an attack by an unseen, threatening and often violent force. Joasia herself, began to exhibit astounding paranormal and psychokinetic abilities. This activity would be met by superstitious fear by the locals, skeptical disbelief and unsatisfactory explanations by authorities. But Joasia’s case would also catch the attention of several Polish scientists who, over the course of 40 months would administer tests and conduct experiments under controlled laboratory conditions in an attempt to provide answers to one of the wildest, yet most compelling cases of poltergeist and psychokinetic activity that I have ever heard.
