British Jews in the First World War - We Were There Too collects, commemorates and tells the story of the Jewish community throughout Britain during the First World War.
In this episode, discover what life was like for Jews living in the port town of Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, at the beginning of the 20th century. Many had arrived into the port after escaping antisemitism in Eastern Europe, and came to the UK for a better quality of life.
This episode coincides with a special exhibition we are holding at Grimsby Town Hall in collaboration with North East Lincolnshire Archives, July 14th and 15th.
