On this week's edition of Golden Eagle Weekly, we focus on the LCCC Rodeo team!

The CNFR is just around the corner, and four Laramie County men have already punched a ticket to the CNFR in June. We talked with all four of them, including Chance Derner in Tie Down, Reese Wadhams as a heeler in Team Roping, and our two Bull Riders Dixon Tattrie and Griffin Koester!

It's a great way to catch yourself up on the team as they head to their final rodeo of the regular season in Laramie this Thursday, Friday and Saturday!

This week we have plenty to get to on Golden Eagle Weekly but we start off with a look at the LCCC Esports team! We focus on a few of the athletes starting with sophomore Andrew Santhuff who has been a big part of the team ever since joining and was one of our Athletes of the Week a few weeks back. He has been a part of more teams than any other Golden Eagle on the team and gives us some insight into what drives him to do everything he can. We also talk with freshman Kiara Kershaw, and if the name sounds familiar, it's because she is also a member of the LCCC women's soccer team! She has made a big impact on the Rainbow 6: Siege team that has made it to the semifinals of the NJCAAe postseason!

We also talk with her head coach on the soccer field as Lugo Arenas joins us to talk about how the spring has gone and what getting outside to practice really means for the team as he gets a chance to see what he has in front of him. We also talk about the time that he has been spending in recruiting and what he has been looking for to add to the team roster.

We round out the show with a talk with Head Volleyball Coach Zach Shaver as the spring season is also starting to wind down for them. They have finished most of their recruiting already and Coach Shaver gives an idea of what they have been working on and how the team has shown him their work ethic this spring as they look forward to building on the fall's successful campaign next season!

This week we start things off by looking into the postseason picture for the Golden Eagles esports teams as they qualified for the playoffs in all six game titles they played. Head Coach Cindy Benites talks about how much work went into making the final fields and how far she feels each title can go.

We have had several athletes commit to the next level, and one of those is from the men's soccer team. Daniel Barajas is heading to UCCS in Colorado Springs and both he and Head Coach Fernando Perez talk with us about not only the signing, but also about the spring season and from Coach Perez, we look to find out more about how he uses the spring to build up they team for the fall. We also look at how he utilizes the indoor vs the outdoor practices that are a common thing in the spring in Wyoming.

Finally, we wrap it up talking with Head Athletic Trainer Sarah Charon to celebrate Athletic Trainer Appreciation Month which was in March. We pick her brain on the best parts of being the AT at LCCC and what got her into the job that she is so passionate about.

On this week's edition of Golden Eagle Weekly, we start with a pair of Athletes of the Week from the men's and women's basketball teams! Shannon Niles and Ben Hageman were big for their respective teams in the wins over Central Wyoming and Eastern Wyoming during the play in rounds of the Region IX Championships and we talked with both about the first round wins and about the confidence they have gained and the teams have in how far they can go.

We stopped by the LCCC esports team as well to talk with Andy Santhuff and Dimitrios Chronopoulos about them teaming up on the new version of Call of Duty: Warzone and the success they are having.

Finally, after a massively successful Lariat's N Lace, we caught up with Head Rodeo Coach Seth Glause to talk about the Golden Eagles in the arena and how they are preparing for the spring season.

This week's edition of Golden Eagle Weekly looks into the men's and women's basketball teams to start. Our Athlete of the Week comes from the men's basketball team and sophomore Jayden McCray gets his opportunity to talk about his season and how the team is playing. We also sit down with Head Coach Ayana McWilliams of the women's basketball team about where her team has improved most going into the postseason. 

Esports is into their third week of the regular season, and Head Coach Cindy Benitez joined the show to talk about the spring season vs the fall season and some of the changes that have been benefiting the teams from rosters to new games, and what she is looking forward to as the season hits the middle weeks. 

Finally, we wrap it up with a chance to talk with Head Men's Soccer Coach Fernando Perez as the Golden Eagles got an early spring season scrimmage against Real Colorado to finish February and gave him a look at his freshman, and he said a few impressed him out of the gate!

On this weeks edition of Golden Eagle Weekly, we start things off with a dive into Lariats n Lace as the annual LCCC Rodeo fundraiser is coming up on March 3rd! Seniors Bernard Girard and Sadie Sturman about no only the event itself, but what it means to them. We also chat about the upcoming spring season and the opportunity it presents. 

We wrap it up by checking in with men's basketball. After focusing on the women last week, Athlete of the Week Tristan Starks and Head Coach DeWayne Saulsberry join the show to discuss the upcoming two games in the regular season and the importance of the momentum they can gain.

We focus in on Golden Eagle basketball and volleyball in this edition!

First we sit down with our Athlete of the Week in Jamy de Kock out of the Netherlands. Jamy has been a steady option for the Golden Eagle women's basketball team all season and is quietly leading the team in both field goal percentage and in three point percentage! She is also a leader on defense and brings a ton of sophomore leadership to the group. 

We also sit down and talk with Head Coach Ayana McWilliams about the recent success of the team and how special this group has been, and what brings it out of them. 

To wrap it up, we turn to volleyball where the Golden Eagles are starting to heat up and get practice under way for the spring season. A few new faces are working out with the team including new signee Ana Haubner and transfer student Emily Flanscha. We talked with both of them about their introduction to the team and what they are hoping to bring to the table!

Last week was a busy week and we have plenty to catch up on with this edition of Golden Eagle Weekly!

We start off with Esports leading the way. The League of Legends team has already been in action and is 2-1 and the rest of the teams get going this week so we talked with Head Coach Cindy Benitez about the outlook for the year. 

Also we catch up with our last two Athletes of the Week from the men's basketball team when Sophomore's Ben Hageman and Xavier McCord get their chances to talk about their individual games and how they are approaching their futures in basketball in the coming weeks. 

Finally, we talk to Ryan from the Blue Raven Brewery about their Golden Eagle Ale which has been a top seller and has been a new way for them to contribute to the college with 50 cents from every pint going to LCCC Athletics!
