You don't necessarily need to WRITE extremes. But think it. Just so you have direction, you know what it can go, you know how exciting it can be!

I know, it can be very stressful to write things that change the world. But that shouldn't stop you from writing anything you want. You are free to create world, change it, fucked it up. You can do so much with words.

"And they lived happily ever after" is classic ending to a fairytale because it IS a fairytale. But this is theatre. It serves as a mirror to to us, to society. The amount of plays that doesn't end in happy ending or doesn't even end with a neat tied up bow. That's what makes theatre always exciting.

Theatre is not a direct mirror of real life. Every word needs to progress the story or give context. Which means our normal human rambling will extremely boring on stage.

At the core, we humans think and function in patterns and we are programmed to spot patterns. Theatre is exciting when these patterns get disrupted!

Does the world pressure you to SAY SOMETHING? Especially if you're a minority or belong to one or multiple marginalised groups? It sucks. But maybe, you don't have to worry. It's theatre after all.

Sometimes the easiest thing to do is to just ask why. Remember when we were children and kept asking why? Apply the same thinking process when you're writing your plays.

When will I find my voice? Will I ever find my voice? What if I don't have a voice? Does it matter? All valid questions, but TL;DR: it doesn't.
