Episode 11: Couy Griffin, January 6th, 14th Amendment, Inappropriate books in school, and more!

  • サマリー

  • In today's episode, Ron & Tim discuss Couy Griffin, January 6th, the 14th Amendment, and inappropriate books in school. Couy Griffin, Otero County Commissioner in New Mexico, was barred from holding office due to the role he played in January 6th protest/riot/insurrection/rebellion. This is due to the 3rd section of the 14th Amendment prohibiting anyone from holding office who has taken part in, or aided in, an insurrection or rebellion against the US.

Ron does not believe January 6th was an insurrection, but Tim believes that based on federal law's definition of insurrection, that it can be considered as such. They follow that up with more discussion about inappropriate books in school.
