In this episode, Rob meets with Dr. Melinda Moore. Melinda is a clinical psychologist, a professor at Eastern Kentucky University, and a survivor of suicide loss (among many other things).
Melinda discusses the loss of her then-husband in 1996, how losing her husband to suicide opened her eyes to the issue and changed the course of her career, the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality [CAMS] tool, the concept of posttraumatic growth and how one can work toward it after enduring a tragedy, the work that she has done with the Veteran population, and finally the work that she's doing around the intersection of faith and suicidality.
