David Litman | CAMERA on Anti-Israel Media Bias | Israel-Hamas War | Conversation with Shana Meyerson

  • サマリー

  • CAMERA, the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis shouldn't have to exist. Neither should a whole slew of watchdog organizations whose 24/7 mission is to monitor the relentless anti-Israel bias that plagues the media.

Once upon a time, media objectivity was the standard. Newspapers and broadcasts did something absolutely unheard of today: they just reported the news. Not from the perspective of the left, not from the right. No agenda. And with only one goal: to inform the public of facts.

    Weird, right?

These days, every media outlet has an agenda. There is truly no such thing as unbiased reporting or journalistic integrity. And, sadly, one of the most pervasive and predominant narratives is the anti-Israel, anti-Zionist--and, by default, largely antisemitic--one.

The challenges presented by this phenomenon go far beyond the pages of the New York Times or the airwaves of the BBC. They even go beyond politics and diplomacy, and actually foster a hostile and increasingly violent society that threatens the very existence, safety, and security of the Jewish State as well the Jewish people all across the globe.

In this LIVE conversation, Shana Meyerson of YOGAthletica and David Litman from CAMERA.org discuss the decades-old scourge of anti-Israel media bias, what CAMERA does to recalibrate the imbalances, and why the world so desperately needs accurate reporting.

If you are a yogi or yogini who takes the news that you read or watch at face value, you owe it to yourself to listen to this discussion about how to identify impartial news coverage, how to be a mindful listener, and the importance of constant critical thinking.
