このコンテンツについて
This episode is brought to you by C&C Resourcing (link below). C&C Resourcing provides one-on-one business coaching, customized training seminars, and continuing education around creating safe spaces for transgender and gender non-binary folx.
In this episode, Rob meets with Dana Cea. Dana is an adjunct professor at Eastern Carolina University, owner of Panacea Mental Wellness, and volunteer with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
Dana discusses the loss of her father, James, to suicide in 2011, how the loss of her dad changed the entire trajectory of her career, how she applies her lived expertise to support the LGBTQ+ community and persons with disabilities, how and why suicide and mental illness seem to affect the LGBTQ+ community at a disproportionate rate, and the steps each one of us can take to break down the barriers and be more inclusive in our own lives.
