The family lived in the SHB staff quarters at Breeze Plain being moving to the Port of Singapore Authority (PSA) flats at Everton Park. Sathasivam recalls the community spirit at Everton Park, the pasar malam during weekends and the Silver Chariot Processions from the Sri Mariamman Temple at South Bridge Road.
