Non-musical history for today: 1997 – In Denver, Timothy McVeigh was convicted on 15 counts of murder and conspiracy for his role in the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, in which 168 people died. He was executed four years later. Was he the first official "domestic terrorist?" It was considered for a televised execution, but that was abandoned. Select witnesses were able to watch on closed-circuit TV, though. Music history, album anniversaries, birthdays, and deaths for June 2. Recorded in the Omniverus Podcast Studios at Liberty Plaza. Leave comments at tim@beeswaxvinyl.com or 336-422-NUMB (6862).
