Ask The Doctor is hosted by Dr. Michael Lange, a Board Certified Optometric Physician and Certified Nutrition Specialist. He also has degrees in psychology and physiological optics.

As the founder of Lange Eye Care and Associates and the Lange Eye Institute, Dr. Lange has always been focused on sharing his knowledge and experience to help serve a larger audience. This is why in 1993 he launched Ask The Doctor, a popular radio talk show on eye care and nutrition.

He's extremely passionate about helping people maximize people's health and well-being through proper nutrition, and spends his time educating eye care provides worldwide on proper nutrition and the benefit of it for their patients.

Fun fact about Dr. Lange: He actually sits down each and every night to answer inquiries on the Fortifeye website! What other vitamin company actually lets you talk directly to the doctor that is responsible for the development of their products?

    Dr Michael Lange and Dr Susan Summerton host "ask the dr" this am on May 10, 2025. Today's show topic is Healthy weight loss made easy and meibomian gland dysfunction treatments. "Ask the Doctor" is the longest running live syndicated medical radio talk show in America. "Ask the Doctor" can be heard coast to coast and live video streaming all over the world. Dr Lange promotes his Fortifeye Healthy Weight loss bundle as a safe healthy way to lose weight. The Fortifeye.com site has a section under Bundles where you can learn about the Healthy weight loss bundle and see images of meals and recipes used to help with the weight loss journey. Both doctors use weight loss management as a tool to help their patients with a multitude of eye diseases. Dr Lange mentions Fortifeye Vitamins are currently developing a weight loss meal replacemtn shake called Fortifeye Fit Meal to be available in three months. The doctors do a segment discussing the benefits of a triple carotenoid called Fortifeye Focus. Dr Lange States "Fortifeye Focus is like insurance policy to protect the eyes after cataract surgery form the damaging sun light and digital screens". They expand on treatments for Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD). They emphasized the benefits of Lumenis Opti Light IPL treatments for meibomian gland dysfunction. They take many live calls during the show that directs topic of conversation. Dr Summerton at end of show discusses the reason why you should not be doing cold water plunges very often.
