There are a lot of places that we can look at today to find information, but how do we know that it’s true? There has been one thing that has never been proven wrong and that is God’s word, the Bible. All through in the Bible it talks about truth being God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Today we will talk about some of those truths.

The church is the front line for people battling sin and the world. For the unsaved, it is a place to meet God, and for the believers, a place for God to deal with whatever is troubling them and a place to rejoice.

Sin is a hard thing to stop doing. We will never completely stop, but we can with God's help control our sins. Today we will talk about ways God can help with those pesky sins that keep haunting us. We can get delivered from a sinful life. We will still stumble, but when we do, we can pray to God for forgiveness.

Today I am answering some questions that I received about the different versions of the Bible.

Many people believe today that you can't vote for the candidates unless they have the same beliefs. As my Dad told me when I first went to vote sometimes you have to pick the lesser of the two evils. After all, not voting for the good guy, or not voting at all, is a vote for the bad guy.

Today's program may be difficult to follow because there are a lot of charts and diagrams that detail the descent of the two lines of translations.

There is the Traditional line that came from Antioch, Assyria. This is the line that we get the Textus Receptus and that is the major portion of the Kind James translation. The only Bible in existence today from this manuscript is the King James Translation.

The other line is from Alexandra Egypt. They requested manuscripts from Antioch and that is how they got their manuscripts. Shortly after they received them, Origin made his own Greek manuscripts deleting what he didn't like or agree with. He put in a lot of the Hellenistic way of thinking. These manuscripts that derived from Origen eventually became the property of the Roman Catholic Church. This line eventually split into the Latin Vulgate and the Westcott-Hort manuscript. The Latin Vulgate which was translated into the English language (Douey-Rheims) and is what the Catholic Church uses today. Westcott and Hort did not believe in the deity of Christ or creation and their Greek manuscripts were used for all the modern day English version Bibles used today including the New King James.
