Tragically, Notch’s friend Allan and another team member, Miles, are killed during the operation. Notch is severely injured but manages to survive.

    The chapter highlights the brutality and complexity of war, the camaraderie among the team members, and the personal sacrifices they make. It also underscores Notch’s determination and resilience in the face of overwhelming odds.
