Let us remember how even Jesus had a moment of desperation on the cross, while he was dying for his people, most of whom had just rejected him, and nailed him to a cross to die a humiliating and gruesome death. As you listen, invite the Lord into your house or wherever you are, and meditate on Jesus's passion, and the words he spoke to his Father, and how his heart might have been feeling, so as to relate the cries of your heart to the Lord, in times of desperation and sorrow.
