അത് നല്ലൊരു കാടായിരുന്നു. അവിടെയുള്ള എല്ലാ ജീവജാലങ്ങളും സന്തോഷത്തോടെ ജീവിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ആ കാട്ടിലേക്ക് നോക്കിയാൽ നമുക്കും അവിടെ പോയി ജീവിച്ചാലോ എന്ന് തോന്നും. മൃഗങ്ങളെല്ലാം സ്ഥിരമായി വെള്ളം കുടിക്കാൻ എത്തുന്ന തടാകത്തിന്റെ അടുത്ത് ഒരു മുത്തശ്ശൻ മാവുണ്ട്. വലിയ മൃഗങ്ങളെല്ലാം തീറ്റ തേടി ദൂരെക്കൊക്കെ പോകുമ്പോൾ കുട്ടികളെല്ലാം ആ മാവിന്റെ ചുവട്ടിലാണ് കൂടാറുളളത്. ഇടയ്ക്ക് അവർ അവിടെ ചെറിയ പാർട്ടികൾ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കാറുമുണ്ട്. അത്രയ്ക്ക് രസമുള്ള സ്ഥലമാണ് അത്. പക്ഷെ ആ കാട്ടിലെ സിംഹക്കുട്ടിക്ക് ഒരു വിഷമം ഉണ്ട്. എന്താ അത്? കഥ കേട്ടോളൂ...

It was a beautiful forest. All the creatures there lived happily. Looking at that forest, one would feel like going there and living. Near the lake where all the animals regularly came to drink water, stood an old banyan tree. While the bigger animals went far and wide in search of food, the young ones would gather under this tree. Occasionally, they would even organize small parties there. It was such a wonderful place. But the lion cub in that forest had a worry. What was it? Let's hear the story...
