The Cornwall Running Show is taking place at the Penventon Park Hotel on Sunday January 12th 2025
Tracy Waite is the organiser and mastermind behind what will be the 4th edition of the show.
The exhibition hall is open to visitors from 10am but anyone wanting to go on a guided run pre-show needs to arrive on site at 9am - in trail shoes - with change of shoes please for the show.
There is a packed programme of activities and speakers and a great variety of stands, which sold out several weeks ago
A shout out to the three main sponsors : Bys Vyken Events, Firebrand Brewery and Parc Signs.
Admission is free. There is plenty of parking onsite and the Hotel is close to local bus routes and Redruth station
I will be there on a stand with the podcast recording kit. I'll be looking for visitors to record for a minute or so talking about their running plans for 2025.
This is episode 167. You can access and download the previous 166 episodes of this show via your usual podcast app or on the Running 44@60 podcast page.
There are plenty of previous episodes which feature the Arc of Attrition 50 and 100 - to find them simply scroll through the episode titles - including epsidoxe 108 when in January 2023 Tracy and I ran through the Dunes in the the dark.
I ran my first, and so far only, ultra marathon in 2021 - the 44 mile Classic Quarter - to celebrate a landmark birthday which was a few weeks before the run.
This podcast started as a way of me learning how to do that - hence why it’s called Running 44@60. The adventure then turned into a book and as a business consultant it became both a business and running book and is available on Amazon via this link: 12 Business Lessons from Running an Ultra Marathon.
My run raised over £7000 for Childrens Hospice South West Music Therapy programme and every book bought on Amazon generates another £5 for the programme.
